Mark Hanton, Director and Senior Chartered Surveyor
Having completed secondary school education in Good Counsel College, New Ross, Mark Hanton studied Construction Economics and Management (Quantity Surveying) in DIT Bolton St. During this time, he worked part time in Waterford and Dublin with PQS firm Healy Kelly Turner Townsend. After obtaining a BSc. Hons degree, he worked full time with HKTT before leaving for Australia in 2005. At PQS firm Rider Hunt, he worked in Perth, Darwin and Melbourne over the 12 months there. Upon arrival back in Ireland, a change of QS role from PQS to a Contractors QS ensued with a role as an estimator and QS with Nevin construction. In 2009, Mark changed jobs and continued in the Contractors estimating and QS role with Robert Quinn Ltd (formerly Quinn Reddin). In 2014, in a move to get closer to home, Mark accepted a role with MCR Engineering, a sub contracting group specialising in Architectural metalwork fabrication.
Hanton QS was formed in March 2015 and has grown from strength to strength covering a wide variety of construction sector projects.
Mark has an extensive resume of building and contracting work. Values of work have ranged from small scale work of a couple of thousand, to large scale developments over €25 million. Some of the types of building he has experience on includes:
