The journey of doing your own self build is tough, dont let anyone tell you otherwise, however this isn’t an investment or something that you are throwing money at, it will be a home and the place you retreat to and take refuge in every day and want it to be as nice and comfortable as you can.
So make sure you get as much knowledge as you can, research and get as many sources of information as you can. You absolutely will find conflicting information, but take on board what is right for you in your situation and your home that you are building. No two builds are the same and you want your own stamp on yours, so do what is right for you.
